Pancake & Lunch Restaurant Hansel & Gretel is situated on the parking of the reservoir/lake Barragem da Bravura. The huge dam and artificial lake were constructed in the 1950's and finished in 1957. Many different trees were planted and little streams find their way through the hills.
In this astounding environment Hansel & Gretel provide you with free walking routes in the beautiful region of water & nature. Walk along the waterside of the reservoir and into the hills and scenery. You can choose between 10 different walks, ranging from 40 minutes 'till 3,5 hours... from 2 to 9 km.

Since the opening of the restaurant & terrace many guests were asking if it is possible to have walks in the neighbourhood. Well, YES, it is possible. But you have to know in what direction to go. Besides, with a description you will find the way back to the parking much quicker and more easily. That's why Magician Hansel has set out 10 different walks, routes and trails, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet nature, the birds (and turtles in the right season too), the paths that go up and down the glowing hills and the thousands of green shades that light up in the sunshine.
